During the summer of 2015 I worked in the traditional territory of Kluane First Nation on my master's research project, which examines the level of influence the First Nation has over land and wildlife management in order to sustain their traditional food security.
While I was working at the Whitehorse Star I got to travel the Dempster Highway in February for a story about the road crews who maintain the remote highway.
